Description
Features
- Extended and radiused, allows magazine release without shifting firing grip
- Injection molded from same OEM factory part material
- Not too short, not too long - easy to install
Anyone with average - to small hands now can easily perform magazine changes without shifting their firing grip on the weapon. The VT GMR-003 is easy to install, and made of the same tough polymer as the Glock factory part. The extended catch is just perfect…not too short, not too long, i.e. the magazine will not accidentally release if pistol is laid on a hard surface. Perfect with use of back strap mounted lasers. Ambidextrous.
Fits:
Gen 4, 5 Models 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37

Better than original
Longer and more rounded than the original. Made changing magazines a lot faster for me. Color matches the black frame perfectly, and looks like a factory part. Every Glock needs one of these!

Vickers = quality
Solid magazine release. I've run this on my Glock 26 and 21 now, and I really can't recommend it enough. Only reason for 4 stars is it feels like it increases the amount of force needed to depress the button, even while it makes it easier to reach the button

Good quality, but wasn't a good setup for me
I find that I shoot most accurately with the large backstrap installed on my gen 4 G34. I shoot USPSA, and the stock release is low and so far forward that I needed to shift the gun in my hand to activate it. I went to the factory extended release, which is marginally higher, but I was still having issues in some cases getting positive, fast release of the magazines. I ordered the Tango Down to give it a try, and it is definitely a step in the wrong direction for my setup. The curved surface puts the high spot on the release farther forward on the gun than even the stock release. Installation was not difficult, and the Tango Down tool for this is nice. I could see where this might be useful, especially for someone shooting a gen 4 with no backstraps installed and on a carry gun. If that's your situation, it might be worth a try. In my case, the Ghost X release with a RYG reduced spring is outstanding for my competition gun.

Perhaps My Hands Are Just Too Small...
I was hoping this would be a big improvement for the stock magazine release on the Gen 4 Glock 26. While the Tango Down release does seem to have a more prominent curve to the button, I am not sure that you can really classify it as an extended mag release. I've also put an extended slide release button on my G26 and THAT was a huge improvement. Just not sure this mag release is that much of an improvement over the stock version...
