Description

The RockYourGlock reduced pound magazine catch spring for the Glock cuts the magazine catch weight in half for quicker mag drops and less resistance during magazine swaps. The reduced weight spring allows shooters to depress the magazine catch without requiring as much pressure to allow the shooter to stay on target during magazine swaps and increase the speed of the magazine changes. The stock weight magazine catch spring is approximately 5lbs and the RYG reduced pound magazine catch brings the weight down to approximately 2.5lbs. Fits all Glock models.

Amateur shooter Glock 7 gen 4

I have smaller hands and needed to reposition my hand for the mag changes. With this spring and the extended mag release I no longer have to do that. Install is simple even for the inexperienced. Significant difference in the force needed to press the mag release.

    Definately better

I injured my thumb badly in an accident and cant activate the mag release on my G20 without shifting the gun considerably or using my oposite hand. This spring still feels solid, no risk of an accidental drop, but much easier to activate. I combined this with the Zev Tech extended mag release. Great tactile feel and solid. The combination solved my problem.

    Love It

I'm 65 years old, I have fairly small hands and my grip has gotten a lot weaker. Between an extended mag and this 2.5lb spring, shooting has become much more fun. Don't have to reposition my hand to release the mag.

    Works Good

I'm almost 65 years old. Have small hands. I need a little help with the mag release. The spring along with an extended mag release did the trick for me. Great product I would recommend it.

    Reduced pound mag catch spring.

This is my second one. I have on in my g19 and I'm putting one in a g34 I'm building. It is a noticeable difference when dropping a magazine. Easy to install.

    A mag catch spring improvement

Posted by RichardL on 31st Jan 2022

I have very small hands and the stock 5 pound mag release spring is very difficult to press without repositioning my hand on the grip. This really helps to allow faster mag changes. The only suggestion I'd make is that the spring could be even lighter.

    Glock reduced mag release spring

Works like a charm. Has to have reduced the release weight by at least 20 to 33 %. Does not make the release pressure too light, so great for ccw and also for people with weak hands. I love it

A little smaller than the stock spring. Easy less than 5 minute install. Much easier release than with the original spring. Better feel.

RYG Reduced Pound Magazine Catch Spring

I have carpal tunnel which affects my thumb strength. I tried an extended button, hated it. Put back the stock button and with this spring, mag drops so nicely. It's just perfect, I've had zero issues. I was worried that the button would be too sensitive and drop the mag when I didn't want to. It's not. Very easy to install too.
