Performance Upgrade
This part is fully machined and replaces the cheap dual spring rod assembly that comes with your Glock ... It is the standard specification for spring tension and is a 100% drop in replacement ... Loving the upgrade and the polished SST.

quality product
Replaces the standard plastic guide rod and is a drop-in part. I have purchased several of these and have not had an issue with any of them in both the G19 and G17/34 firearms. Quality product.

G-42
Fits a little loose, but the firearm preformed flawlessly.

Definitely shining
I know that this guide rod have a lot of good reviews, but it bothers me the shinny circle in the front of the slide. Please RYG you must consider a black finish for this item. The guide rod weighs a lot compared to the stock guide rod. The spring seems to be lighter than the stock. I purchased this item but I'll be trying a combination of a Gen 3 non captive guide rod with the Gen 4 adapter.

Stainless steel is always a good choice.
You can never go wrong with stainless steel parts. Especially, your guide rod.

RYG G19 and G43 stainless steel guide rods
Both items fit as described (internally) and seem to function correctly when racking the slides. Have not live-fired either with new guide rods installed though. Only detracting feature of both is that the ends of the guide rods "stick out" well past the outside of the slide. On the G43 it is even with the barrel, while on the G19 it is not quite as much but still sticks out quite a bit.

G43 Guide Rod Assembly
I don't feel comfortable betting my life on a plastic part that moves this much, so I always replace the guide rod with the stainless.

SS guide rod assembly G43
I bought an expensive G43 titanium guide rod assembly from GlockStore which was a real headache for me with FTFs. Had to switch back to the plastic one for reliability. The SS in my G17 has been trouble free so thought I'd take a chance on this one from RockYourGlock. Installed it today and went to the range. Fired 80 rounds of 115 gr 9 MM without a single issue.
