Taran Tactical Base Pad Firepower +5/6 Fits G17, 22, 34, and 35

Bought these for my dad because he didn't want to reload his magazines often, while at the range. Hahaha. Needless to say, he's enjoyed it and when I got to see them, the quality of the product was great. Color was nice and clean; even the TTI engraved logos. Will probably order him some more when they're back in stock.

I only have very limited use with this, as in maybe 100 rounds, so I can't give it a 5 star yet. But, it holds 20 .40 rounds like it says, and has functioned 100% in my Glock 35 so far. Have not had a chance to measure it to the 140mm USPSA standard or really use it much, I will know better after a few thousand rounds. Looks really good and install was easy, just trim the little tabs and it went right on. Based on other reviews, I think it will work fine.

I do recommend the product but most importantly I highly recommend this company. There was an unexpected delay caused by the USPS. When RYG was notified they immediately looked into the matter, tracked the item and made a partial refund on the shipping costs. Great product but even greater customer service.

The base pad is very well built, Almost to nice looking, But the red compliments my LWD trigger shoe & cover plate. Plus the extra weight helps control muzzle flip. That's why I bought it. But there should be instructions, telling you there is no need to adjust the set screw, which holds the slide locking pin, it is pre set at the factory with locktite. I was not able to get 6 extra 9mm rounds as advertised, The spring seem to be a bit long & stiff, will see after it's broken in as stated. It doesn't interfere with the plug that I have in my grip bottom to keep debris out. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars ,Is because of lack of information & instruction with the unit. Helpful hint use a small C clamp to compress the side walls of the mag to help remove the floor plate , prior to installation of the new Taran base pad.Yes I will be ordering a couple more.
